Beramah Mesra Bersama Warga Emas

Date : 27 Oct 2013
Venue : Ruman Seri Kenangan, Cheras

Sesi bergambar selepas tamat program bersama PPZ

IFSB Public Hearing 2013

Date : 22nd Jan 2013
Venue : Sasana Kijang, Bank Negara Malaysia

I was invited to attend this public hearing to represent my company as part of member of  Islamic Financial Services Board, IFSB. IFSB is an organisation that create a standard guidelines and frameworks for all islamic financial institutions around the world. In this public hearing, all the members could voice up any issues related to the financial matters. For the public hearing held on 22nd Jan, the IFSB focus on new Basel 3 Framework. As such, all the members were invited to raise any issues regarding the progress to set up new Basel 3 Framework.

As I'm not very sure how private and confidential level for this conference, so I don't think to share a lot about the content of the event. I just want to share about my experience to be there as a very young representative for my company compared to other representatives that come from all around the world. At first, my intention other than to update the latest issues for Basel 3 is to find a soul-mate. But seems very frustrated as most of the representative came with white hair.hehe..

The moderator for this conference is Mrs Kartina Md Ariffin, an Actuarial Science Graduate from University of Wisconsin, and the panelists are Professor Simon Archer a professor from University of Reading, UK, Dr James Smith and Mr Zahid Ur Rehman. Actually I was quite impress with James Smith and Prof Simon because they are mat saleh, and I think they are not muslim. But they are very interested in islamic finance. They have published a lot of researches and papers on islamic finance and takaful. They also very familiar about islamic contracts and their terms like ijarah, mudharabah, sahibul mal etc.

During the conference, I just listen and trying to understand the matters raised from the representatives. But it was very difficult for me to understand when they spoke with their own slang especially the Arabians.  Sometimes I can't catch up what they said because my focus was more on understanding and translating their words. Plus with my normal english is very weak, it make me felt very fool and blur. Oh my english....

Finished writing about the conference, now I want to share about  Sasana Kijang. This place own by Bank Negara Malaysia, it is a beautiful architecture, built 90% from glasses and green colour. That was the first time I been there and knowing such place named Sasana Kijang. I thought it is located inside the BNM Head Office area, but actually it is located outside which is 5-10 minutes walk from BNM HQ. This place have more on conference halls rather than office suits. There also have an art gallery and museum which is open to public with free entrance.

Well this is my country, Malaysia. Full of high building, beautiful architecture. all of these things for me are very waste a lot of money. Yes, we need buildings for office suits, but what we already have like Petronas Twin Tower and many other buildings are more than enough. All these buildings still have a lot of space for rent and sale. But 'they' are still greedy to built the highest building, the most creative architecture in the world. It is better to built innovative creatures like dwi-function Smart Highway right?

For conclusion, let's view some photos of Sasana Kijang from Mr Google..

Teambuilding @ Alson Klana Resort

Date : 18th - 20th Nov 2011
Venue : Alson Klana Resort, Seremban

Alson Klana Resort, which is located not far from Seremban KTM station, a 4star hotel is a convinience place to choose especially for outdoor activities or teambuilding programme. After 2-3months delayed from schedule, finally I was here for my 2nd tembuilding fully sponsored and managed by my company. Compared to the 1st teambuilding previously at Cope Adventure, this teambuilding is much more interesting because a lot of outdoor activities involved. Below are the pictures for indoor activities...

Lupa dah aktiviti ape time nih.....stretching je kot dulu....

Sketching and drawing a group flag...

Siap!!!

built a strong paper bridge...

semangat berkumpulan yg mantap!

We stayed there for 3days and 2nights. At the first day, we gathered for briefing and a simple indoor activity and then followed with repealing at the evening. Repealing is just like abseiling, the only different is for abseiling we did at waterfall whilst repealing at wall of building. Actually I did repealing for the first time but I used to do abseiling before. so, I felt so excited to try not for once, but I did it twice.hehe...

safety first... before start repealing.....

repealing from level 6 of building....

For the second day, we had explorace activity. As usual, this activity deserve a lot of energy and also critical thinking. Never thought that my team became a winner. Just realize that we had a very good teamwork and high spirit to be a champion which was contribute to our success.

gathered for briefing before started the Explorace...

activity ni paling aku tak suka!

setelah berjaya melepasi tembok....

massage session pon ade....setelah penat berlari di siang hari....

And for the last day, we had high rope and flying fox activities. I felt very excited doing flying fox. But for high rope, I felt quite nervous when it comes to the 'tarzan' part. fuhh, at that time I just thought to surrender and turn back. For the first time I felt very scared to do extreme activity..hoho... Luckily I got strength to complete that game when I put 100% trust to two strong rope that tied with me.

halangan pertama for high rope.. steady jer...

halangan kedua..jadik spider jap...a bit tough...

halangan ketiga...tarzan..this part very2 tough!!

next stage....

halangan terakhir....fuyyoo....need self balance...

time to fly....flying fox or flying human??

I am flying high....wohhooo...

session with Ustaz Mohammad at the night....

We are the champion!!!

Last activity... know yourself better....

Overall, of course I enjoyed very much and felt so release... On top of that, I felt like we're united and engaged each other especially with the top management which is previously seem very hard to get close with them. Anyway, it's a normal actually to had a gap between top management and other staff especially in a big company like this. Hopefully this relation will be never end but keep growing in future...

Cope Adventure & Look Out Point

Date : 23rd May 2011 - 27th May 2011
Place : Cope Adventure and Look Out Point, Ampang, KL

Training at Cope Adventure

That was an induction programme for my new company.. we stayed there for a week..a lot of activities and training scheduled and alhamdulillah we all make it successfully... I learnt a lot of things there.. I learnt how to use Emotional Intelligent effectively when mingle with bosses or high class people or even with friends... I also learnt how to critique or give opinions in proper way which is started with compliments and then followed with the critiques...but the critiques not always in negative side, we can make it in a positive side such as critiques for improvements...in short, we learnt how to be a great leader with growing the excellent attitude and character in both action and communication...

In the training hall...'Young Leader's Faces'?..peace =)

Beside the indoor training, we also had a lot of outdoor activities such as wall climbing activities, jungle trekking, amazing race, swinging like tarzan, bhagra dance etc...but we had no chance to do paintball as in schedule due to rainy day...all the activities deserve cooperation, communication and teamwork..those are the most important things to ensure all the activities successful...

Time for bhagra dance...put your hand at your ear and said.."Aaaa......"..=p

Alright, I haven't so much intention to write about the training, but I would like to share about the place, Cope Adventure...it is located at Ampang, through the old way from Ampang to Hulu Langat...this is the best place to do training because it's facilities is very excellent..why I said like that? because I never expected that there has air-conditioner inside tents! inside there also has fans, army sleeping bed with soft pillow and blanket etc.. this place also provide washing machine and drying machine to wash our clothes..there had iron too...waa..very great right?

Inside the tent.....

see..the fan and air-cond in tent~

Utilize the washing machine and dryer...hehe...

Now, we go to food section... there had a regular dining hall..but with a very delicious and varieties of foods..every single day with different menu...at the first day, we lunch with amazing chicken chop...at the night, we had a dinner with nasi arab..the next day with nasi kerabu..followed with laksa penang, nasi ayam berempah and many other foods that I've forgotten..hehe...in short, we had 6 times refreshments per day... more interesting, during refreshments time, there had a background music base on the theme of the food's menu.... if we could stay there for a month, I'm very sure all of us will gain over weight..haha....

breakfast after bhagra dance...

This place also very peace, nice and green...the environment is clean and cold weather... Conclusion, this place is very comfortable for training or even just for camping..by the way, I call this place as 'Hotel in Forest'..hehe...

bright morning with sunshine....

very clean place...

peace~

release~

night at Cope Adventure..

Look Out Point

Just turn right from Cope Adventure, we can found the Look Out Point Restaurant...this place full with people at night because we can see the beautiful scene of the whole KL city from here... beside the Look Out Point Restaurant, there has many other expensive restaurants here...the juices can worth almost RM20, so guess the food's price?

Posing at sign board..hehe...

Look Out Point Restaurant...

There also has a viewing tower provide for public to see the beautiful light scene...from there, we could see our company as well..see, beside the twin tower..hehe...

The KL city seen from viewing tower...

at the top of viewing tower...

a part of us...

on the way to viewing tower...stop for a while for posing..hehe..

Ok, that's all the documentary overview for this time...hehe...as usual, there a lot of places will be explored after this...

at the end of induction programme~
